How to measure the cellar for curved wine rack?
In the last few articles, we have talked about the common sizes of different types of wine racks, and we also talked about the relationship between capacity and the dimension.
But they are all talking about the straight wine racks and cellar, how about the curved ones? If you are planning a set of curved wine racks for your round cellar, how should you measure the cellar dimension, so the wine rack supplier knows how to custom the racks?

Most of the curved cellars are planned to be perfect circle of a part of perfect circle (e.g. a full round, a half round, a quarter round, etc.). After the construction and the whitewashing on the wall, the line of the exact walls may not be perfect circle as plan. But it won’t be great different in most of the cases.
If a curved wine cellar is circle shape, to check the exact dimension, you should have a long rope or steel tape. Standing at the center of the circle planned, to check the distances from different points on wall to the center. If the distances are similar, then their average is the exact radius length.
If you find the distances are very different, the exact center may be deviated. Put a long stick on floor and straight to the curved wall, put another stick on the other place, but also straight to the curved wall, the point of the intersection of two stick is the new center.
